Background
Voice of Nature (VoNat) is a Cameroon community-based biodiversity conservation and sustainable
development non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the environment and saving lives with
community kids and youths through media & arts, livelihoods supports, capacity building, outreach and
research. VoNat was created in 2019 by a group of youths with a strong desire to use
their skills, knowledge and experience to finding solutions to biodiversity conservation and sustainable
development challenges in their communities, and engaging other community kids/youths to do same.
The idea is that through this, a sustainable and healthy planet will be created that we will all enjoy as
adults and also hand to the next generation.

We are currently seeking committed and reliable individuals, who are willing to contribute to finding
solutions to the increasing global environmental challenges via the following positions;

  1. Biodiversity Conservation Officer
    Required Qualification

A Bachelor or Masters Degree in forestry and wildlife, natural resource management,
environmental science, and any related specialization or currently embarking on studies at final year
in any of these domains with enough time to spare.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in research and publication of papers
  • Carryout environmental education in schools & communities
  • Assist in organizing and managing conservation awareness events
  • Produce plans, presentations and reports on biodiversity conservation activities
  • Develop ideas and support fundraising efforts
  • Assist in reforestation activities etc.

2. Finance Officer

Required Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field, or currently embarking on studies at final year
in any of these domains with enough time to spare.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Create and implement financial policies to guarantee operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation and planning of budgets.
  • Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions.
  • Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes.
  • Perform periodic financial analysis to detect and resolve problems.
  • Prepare balance sheets and invoices etc.


Required Competences

– Passion and interest in the mission and objectives of VoNat
-Good team spirit and communication skills
– Ability to speak and write good English, knowledge of French will be an advantage
– Ability to work and interact with people of different backgrounds
– Willingness to adhere to VoNat’s core value
