Ms. Mokam holds a bachelor degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea while Madam Tayu is also a graduate from the same University with a masters in Communication and Information Management.

Mrs. Tayu explained that she was inspired to join VoNat by the Organisation’s mission of building a greener, safer and more sustainable planet.  “Mankind’s irrational activities have proven to be a great threat to nature. I wanted to contribute to the preservation of nature  while engaging other young people in building a healthier planet,” she said,  adding that it was also in a bid to acquire new skills and to grow her talents.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Beatrice Mokam wanted a platform through which she could sensitise others on the importance of protecting nature, especially youths who hold the keys the future sustainability of the planet. “Many people are ignorant about the dangers of hunting endangered species, burning of the forest and t turn to neglect nature, which is part of our lives. Information is power and I want to use these skills to sensitise in order to build a planet and a good breathing space for all,” she said

Both volunteers, who joined VoNat expressed their anxiety in this new journey and thanked VoNat for the opportunity  to sharpen their skills and capabilities.
