Teboh George has won Voice of Nature (VoNat)’s award of the Most Committed and Industrious Volunteer of the year 2022. The handing of award was done on February 4, 2023 during VoNat’s Annual General Meeting, which brought together former volunteers and current volunteers and staff of the organization.
George served at VoNat as the Agriculture and Community Development Programme Coordinator from November 2021 to April 2022. He also assisted in coordinating the implementation of some projects in the Organization.
“Winning this award is a huge motivation for me to keep putting in efforts. My coming to volunteer with VoNat was backed by the desire to learn new skills on project management, meeting new people and networking. I believed that, total commitment will help me get what I wanted and I would say I got it,”Mr. Teboh said shortly after receiving the award .
The laureate, who now works with Ecological Balance in Buea attributes his success to the Volunteering and Youth Mentorship Programme of VoNat. “Thanks to mentorship from VoNat, I was able to secure a job with another NGO. I am really happy my volunteerism paid off,” he added.
George, is the 3rd amongst the over 10 volunteers who have secured jobs thanks to the organization’s Volunteering and Youth Mentorship Programme.
