Some volunteers from Voice of Nature (VoNat) and Meg Wah (My Earth) have acquired skills on field report writing for non-profit organizations and impact article writing. This was during a joined training session which took place in Buea, July 24, 2021.
Aimed at enhancing the quality of field reports and articles by the staff of both organizations, the volunteers received lessons on what they must do before, during, and after a field activity to be able to produce a quality field reports. They were equally schooled on the structure of a field report. Beside this, the volunteers were enlightened on how to gather information and produce articles that can be used to better communicate project activities.
Volunteers exercised gratitude to both organizations for organizing the training session “I am happy I took part in this training and must thank VoNat and Meg Wah for organizing it. I have learnt a lot and it will greatly impact my professional life. I look forward to having more of this kind of training” said Philip Egbe, volunteer at VoNat.
To Nfor Irene, the “training was quite enriching, and the knowledge I gained will help me to be more efficient in my job or in any other organization I find myself in”.
The training is consistent with VoNat’s strive to enhance the professional development of staff and volunteers, as they contribute to its mission of protecting the environment and saving lives.
