The Executive Director (ED) of Voice of Nature (VoNat) recently participated in the 2025 National Geographic Africa Explorers Leadership Workshop in Nairobi-Kenya, organized under the theme: Building Community through Collaborative Leadership. The ED used the 6-day international workshop, January 25 to 30, 2025, to gain skills, build connections, and highlight VoNat’s Endangered Amphibians Conservation Initiative in Cameroon, specifically focusing on the goliath frog.

“I recently had the honour of presenting our amphibians conservation initiative at the National Geographic Africa Explorers Workshop in Nairobi-Kenya. In my presentation, I zoomed to my personal conservation story before exploring goliath frog conservation threats and our vision at VoNat for the species and other amphibians in Cameroon” Mr. Ndimuh said.

The VoNat boss added that the leadership workshop came at an opportune moment.  “The lessons on Leadership, Building Community, Managing Stress & Self Care and collaboration simply came at the right time, as I had been reflecting on how my organization will function in 2025. I was thrilled by the presentation on authenticity. The workshop allowed me to reflect on how I want to be perceived as a leader and what my core values are. So, guiding me through this path of self-discovery was a very important moment for me,” he disclosed.

Mr. Ndimuh is now expected to share some of the lessons learned during this workshop with his team at VoNat, and to leverage his experience and connection to better advance the organization’s mission of building a greener, safer, and more sustainable planet for wildlife and humanity to thrive.

VoNat Management expresses special gratitude to the National Geographic Society for supporting and giving its Executive Director the opportunity to be part of this leadership workshop.
